The Ocean Township Ribamontán with 36’9 km2, occupies the central coast of Cantabria settled east of the Bay of Santander, to the stream of Vioño in Bareyo integrated into the eastern coast of Trasmiera.


presentacion3Its landscape is identified by a broad plain which forms a coastline rasa, cut into towering cliffs that protect the beautiful beaches and Arnillas Langre, which are a natural paradise. Off the coast of the island is located Loredo Santa Marina, the largest of Cantabria. This rock protects the end of the beach that stretches to venture into the Bay of Santander, changed into a sand spit that forms the Depth, is one of the largest sand Cantabria. This arrow closes it the final tour of the Ria de Cubas, which forms the mouth of the River Miera, with natural boundary with the neighboring municipality Cudeyo Navy. The township is comprised of seven towns: Castanedo Galizano, Langre, Loredo, Somo, and Carriazo Suesa in the latter is where it housed the town hall.

Natural Environment

Sports

And standing out as one of the consolidated sports events, the famed Derby Loredo, horse race that is held on the beach. It consists of various tests that have been gaining importance internationally, with one of their categories in English thoroughbred.
