Getting There

ROCK CHURCH OF CADALSO

Cadalso rock of the church in the town of Valderredible (Cantabria, Spain), was declared of cultural interest on June 29 1983. Situated in the town of Cadalso, right on the edge of the road from Polientes, capital city, to climb (Burgos), less than a kilometer from Ruerrero already near Saint Martin of Elin.

Dating

It is a cave church, that is carved directly into the sandstone, which means seize the geology of the valley of the Ebro for religious buildings. The timing of such events in the cave south of Cantabria is controversial, pointing out some time in the High Middle Ages.

Description

History:
